Job Details

Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in IT Infrastructure, Server Upgrade Initiatives, Physical Security Technologies, Cloud Migrations etc. as well as Risk Management within the Banking sector. The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of IT Business Systems Analyst experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of working across multiple stakeholder groups, including risk, compliance, and infrastructure/IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work directly with internal technology and business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements for server upgrade, migrations and infrastructure enhancement projects.
  • Partner with infrastructure and security teams to assess and align physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, data center controls) with corporate policies.
  • Lead discovery sessions, risk assessments, and impact analysis related to IT infrastructure changes.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements; ensure traceability from scope through implementation.
  • Collaborate with enterprise risk, compliance, and audit teams to ensure all technology initiatives meet regulatory and internal control standards.
  • Support development and testing teams in clarifying requirements and reviewing deliverables.
  • Create and maintain process flows, data flow diagrams, and system documentation as needed.
  • Assist in creating training materials and operational documentation for implemented changes.
  • Provide reporting and updates to senior management and steering committees.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience in server upgrades, infrastructure modernization, cloud migrations and data center technology initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of physical security systems in a technology context (e.g., surveillance, access control, endpoint protection).
  • Strong background in Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit practices in a regulated financial environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills (BRD, FRD, Use Cases, Test Plans).
  • Superior stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with Canadian or other banking institutions.
  • Experience working in Agile or Hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
  • Technical acumen with ability to understand and document systems architecture.
  • Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar business analysis credentials.
