Title: JD Edwards Project Manager

Contract/FTE (FTE preferred)

Location: Remote (East coast)

Job Description:

Responsible for managing all aspects of diverse, complex technical projects, including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost. Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct staff and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met. Communicates with end-users to provide timely and accurate information and status updates. Projects involve multiple disciplines in the IT function; individuals who manage projects exclusively in one aspect of IT, such as ERP implementation or applications development, should be matched to the specific position for that specialty.

The Senior Technology Project and Program Manager helps make sure all team members and stakeholders have what is needed to meet the deadlines and milestones set by the Project Manager. In order to do this, The Senior Technology Project and Program Manager must be familiar with every aspect of the project, including all short and long-term goals, the planned project calendar, and reporting requirements.

  • Participate in project planning and execution meetings and propose improvements as necessary.
  • Evaluate potential problems, process gaps and help propose solutions.
  • Plan and manage team goals, project schedules and information flow.
  • Supervise current project planning, schedules and coordinate all team members to keep project deliverables on track.
  • Manage project-related artifacts such as data reporting, dashboards, leadership report-outs and process maps by ensuring all necessary materials are version-controlled, properly filed and are easily accessible.
  • Capture and/or scribe project related support documents such as meeting minutes, call recordings, status updates and emails.
  • Communicate with the teams to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives to support.
  • Lead project status meetings and deliver concise updates to executive sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Ensure post-upgrade validation, cutover planning, and business continuity processes are defined and executed effectively.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study.
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in technical project management
  • Experience working in a structured PMO or Agile/Waterfall hybrid environments.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in a Process Improvement methodology (Lean/Six Sigma) is not required but a plus.
