Job Description
The BAE Systems Intelligence & Security Sector (I&S) is seeking a Vice President / Deputy General Manager to be a key member of the Air & Space Force Solutions (ASFS) Business Area. The successful candidate will partner with the VP/GM and collaborate with the ASFS Senior Leaders to ensure successful execution of the ASFS business area's portfolio of programs, engage with customers at senior leadership levels, drive rigor in compliance, promote quality and continuous improvement, grow existing work and develop new business opportunities, set vision and strategy and implement accompanying actions. The Deputy will shape employee engagement strategy; leads through inspiration to enhance employee performance and team optimization. The Deputy will take an active role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the business area, frequently serving as the VP-GM's delegate. This position reports to the Vice President/General Manager, Air & Space Force Solutions and is based on McLean, Virginia
Key Responsibilities
  • In collaboration with others, develop and execute strategic business plan consistent with the goals and objectives
  • Monitor and achieve financial objectives established in the annual business plan
  • Direct and support new business development opportunities to improve the company's business portfolio to include marketing and customer call plans
  • Identify factors that create differentiators for products or services
  • Prioritize and allocate new business funds and resources required to win new business
  • Build and maintain a high level of customer engagement across the portfolio
  • Establish productive relationships with counterparts in other business areas, vendors, community, government officials and staff, legislators, and industry at large
  • With the team, establish performance objectives and meet business projections; establish parameters to maximize sales and margins needed for business growth
  • Attract, develop and retain high performing, diverse talent within the business; build future leaders through mentoring and serving as a role model
  • Executes and directs programs in accordance with Corporate Life Cycle Management process
  • Promote product quality and high customer satisfaction to advance the business and meet or exceed growth objectives
  • Be viewed as an industry leader representing the company at various company sponsored activities; government functions and community events; respond to media inquiries
  • Demonstrate a leading role in promoting adherence to the Company's ethical standards and business practices
  • Provide for good stewardship of the assets of the business and understands the importance of relationship building and maintaining clear lines of communication with customers and employees
  • Demonstrate alignment with the sector's cultural principles and model safe and ethical behavior and ensure compliance with appropriate Company policies and procedures, especially those related to business execution and new business development.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, or a related field.
  • Must possess 13+ years of upper-level management experience leading teams of technical professionals.
  • Proven track record of success in leading and growing related DoD, IT, and/or services business with at least $200M in revenue.
  • In-depth understanding of Air & Space Force organizations, programs, priorities, and initiatives.
  • Ability to identify, establish, and build important customer relationships with senior-level officials and program stakeholders in Air Force/DoD.
  • Proven ability to develop, document, and execute a plan for achieving business growth.
  • Experience working in government contracting.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience presenting to CEO-level executives and customers.
  • Proven ability to lead large, geographically diverse teams; strong coaching and mentoring skills; a focus on talent development and the ability to achieve results through others.
  • Travel is required in this role and may be up to 40%.
  • TS level clearance with a willingness to obtain SCI.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
