Job Title: Senior .NET Developer
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid Preferred Texas Local Preferred) 100% remote role
Duration: Long term W2 role

Job Description:

The Sr. .NET Developer will play a key role in designing and developing enterprise-scale applications within the healthcare domain, particularly in Medicaid projects. The candidate will be expected to lead technical initiatives, architect scalable systems, and integrate with mission-critical platforms such as Micro Focus PPM and OnBase.


Key Responsibilities:

< data-start="1181" data-end="1234">Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership</>
  • Design scalable, secure .NET Core applications and microservices.

  • Define architecture standards, code best practices, and integration patterns.

  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code/architecture reviews.

  • Collaborate with enterprise architects for solution alignment.

< data-start="1515" data-end="1561">Application Development & Integration</>
  • Build distributed applications using Microsoft Service Fabric.

  • Integrate workflows with Micro Focus PPM and OnBase for document management.

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and web services.

  • Ensure high-quality code via CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews.

< data-start="1848" data-end="1882">Medicaid Domain Expertise</>
  • Apply deep knowledge of MMIS, claims, eligibility, provider management, and compliance.

  • Ensure HIPAA and state Medicaid regulation compliance.

< data-start="2035" data-end="2063">Agile Collaboration</>
  • Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies PI planning, sprint planning, reviews.

  • Collaborate with BAs, POs, QA teams on requirement grooming and technical delivery.

< data-start="2231" data-end="2266">Documentation & Compliance</>
  • Produce technical documentation including architecture diagrams and integration blueprints.

  • Support security, audit, and compliance activities as needed.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of .NET development (ASP.NET, .NET Core, C#)

  • 3+ years of leadership in technical roles (code reviews, architecture, mentoring)

  • Hands-on with Microsoft Service Fabric

  • Integration experience with Micro Focus PPM and OnBase

  • Strong SQL skills with SQL Server / Oracle

  • Proficient in building SPAs using React/Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

  • Strong understanding of Medicaid domain and healthcare data standards (HIPAA, EDI X12, HL7)

  • Agile/SAFe Agile delivery experience

  • CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud platforms (Azure)

  • Previous work with state government healthcare IT systems

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG)

  • Certifications: Microsoft, SAFe, Service Fabric, Micro Focus, OnBase

  • Strong preference for Texas/Austin-based candidates
