Job Details

Please note that this is a 12+ contract position.

Working days/hours: Shift hours are flexible. We prefer 8hr shift M-F any time between approx. 5a-5p but can accommodate hours M-F 5a-12p, and possibly Saturdays if needed.

Location: Carpinteria. CA

Requirements

  • Experience in Histology and Microtomy is required
  • Bachelor s degree in a related field is preferred
  • SAP Experience
  • Experience with Raw Material
  • Experience working in with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Production-based histology/microtomy experience is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Open to any form of histology/microtomy experience due to the niche nature of the role

Role Description:

Carry out Microtomy in support of diagnostic product development and production.
Perform IHC staining procedures as part of in-process quality control testing.
Work closely with Planning and Finish Production to efficiently schedule and complete Histology orders to support pilot and commercial cancer diagnostic kit productions.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and intermediates to ensure adequate supply of production materials. Utilize SAP as needed for creation/closure of production batches, material transactions, and other SAP production work.
Maintain Operations Histology Lab and perform all tasks adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP).
Responsible for routine/daily preventative maintenance/cleaning of Histology equipment when in use.
Independently fill production requests as needed to support ongoing production needs
Schedule production batches with correct lead times. Support as needed of all CCL intermediate forecasts and orders. Communicates production issues as well as active involvement in finding solutions. Subject matter expert to find potential issues and improvements to production processes. Ability to make document updates within AGILE for revisions, and non-conformance reporting. Represent Histology department in various cross-functional initiatives.
Create and revise technical procedures, SOPs, forms and similar as needed.
Keep training records up to date.
Participate in technology validation when required.
