Position: Senior Cloud/Systems Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA (1 day onsite)
Duration: Full time direct hire

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong Systems Engineering background to join a collaborative and agile cloud infrastructure team. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, can manage multiple projects, and is comfortable being the point of contact during on-call rotations. Candidates with a heavy cloud-only background without systems experience may not be a fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Required Skills & Experience:
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub repositories. Understanding of SOX compliance and cloud security best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and compliant AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and monitor system performance.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Participate in daily Agile standups, providing updates on progress and planning.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (after 45-60 days) as the primary point of contact for daily issues.
- Ensure SOX compliance and support cloud security best practices.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to peers.
- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and pursue continuous learning.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong Systems Engineering background
- Senior-level AWS experience (EC2, IaaS, etc.).
- Terraform expertise (HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate preferred).
- Scripting experience:
- PowerShell (highest priority)
- Python and/or Bash (nice to have)
Preferred Certifications:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (highly preferred)
- HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate
- Open to candidates without certifications if willing to obtain within 6 months.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with:
- Splunk (monitoring/logging)
- Active Directory Services
- Windows Server backup and disaster recovery
