Job Description:

A client of High5 is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer. This role will be a hybrid role in either Cincinnati, Columbus OH or Indianapolis, IN. This is a 6-month CTH or Direct Placement (they are open to both).

Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Administration, configuration and maintenance of the firms Windows and Azure environments, providing consistent design, deployment, and lifecycle maintenance services for Domain Controllers, Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and as well as other critical services supporting the Windows domain environment. Ensuring that best practices, security, and maintenance are practiced for all functions of Active Directory and Azure AD, including lifecycle of user objects, groups, permissions, external federation, and managing data synchronization.
  • Administration, configuration, maintenance and lifecycle management of the firms information technology infrastructure, ensuring that all security and best practice requirements are followed for every system, including, but not limited to: Servers both physical and virtual, Storage systems, Data Protection, Private/Public cloud, Networking equipment, Access and Environmental control systems, Peripheral technology, Monitoring systems, and Communication systems.
  • Assists with configuration, implementation and maintenance of datacenter networking and equipment necessary to operate servers and storage when required.
  • Assists with the implementation of the firms various data protection policies, adhering to the defined data retention and recovery requirements via the configuration, implementation and maintenance of platforms such as, but not limited to, Cohesity and Veeam s backup technologies as well as underlying storage replication technologies, such as but not limited to Pure, Isilon and VMware.
  • Monitors all of the firm s IT equipment, quickly responding, troubleshooting and resolving incidents as they occur to prevent outages or data loss across incidents including hardware failure, configuration issues, firmware update issues, security issues, performance problems and user reported issues and or escalations from internal teams.
  • Applies patches, firmware updates, as well as OS upgrades, following all security best practices, to any and all physical and virtual servers, storage resources, as well as other physical IT related assets across the firm, including, but not limited to, UPS, printing, communication and security systems as required.
  • Assist in the Administration of remote access technologies and outside connections to Firm resources, including design, deployment, securing, and lifecycle maintenance for Remote Desktop Services (RDS), insuring authentication controls and security hardening are maintained for all systems. Participate in the integration and administration of multifactor authentication.
  • Assists in support and or physical installation of the firms physical networking environment, such as switches, routers and firewalls as required.
  • Assists the Applications team and vendors as necessary with application installation and updates. Ensuring that both security and best practice requirements are met.

Education and Experience

  • Education, related training, experience, or IT certifications that demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS.
  • Experience with physical maintenance of hardware, throughout a typical hardware lifecycle, from implementation to destruction, with hardware from vendors such as Dell, Cisco and HP.
  • Experience working with various storage technologies, such as Pure and Dell/EMC(Isilon) and IBM, as well as cloud storage such as Wasabi and Azure.
  • 5+ years of work experience in supporting IT infrastructure services.
  • Experience working with Exchange, Isilon, and VMware administration desired.
  • Familiarity of LAN/WAN technologies, including IP addressing, switches, FC Zoning and wireless management. (Preferably Cisco).
  • Familiarity with data protection platforms, such as Cohesity and Veeam desired.
  • Familiarity with Solar Winds desired.
  • Microsoft, VMware and Cisco certifications desired.
  • Familiarity with helpdesk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Service Desk Plus.
  • Bachelor s degree required.
  • Law Firm experience preferred.
