Technical Project Manager

Job Title: Technical Project Manager Duration: Long Term Contract Location: St. Paul, MN ( Hybrid - 1 day onsite )
Job Summary:
The Senior Project / Program Manager will oversee multiple IT and business projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery. The role involves strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, resource optimization, and continuous improvement within the PMO framework. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational change management skills, with experience driving successful outcomes across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
Coordinate internal teams, vendors, and third-party resources to meet project objectives within scope and budget.
Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, providing transparent updates on project status, risks, and dependencies.
Identify and mitigate project risks and issues while ensuring proactive resolution and escalation where needed.
Manage project budgets and resource allocations, ensuring adherence to governance and financial guidelines.
Drive transformation and organizational change initiatives to support adoption of new systems and processes.
Support continuous process improvement, contributing to PMO standards and methodologies.
Utilize tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub for tracking, reporting, and performance management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certifications: PMP or PgMP (required); CSM or SAFe (preferred).
Proficiency in MS Project (2+ yrs), Azure DevOps, Jira, and GitHub (1+ yr each).
