Job Details

Title: Security Engineer
Location: Western or Southeastern United States Region (Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Description:
The Security Engineer will support a cloud-native infrastructure using modern architectures such as containerized workloads, serverless technologies, and automated deployment pipelines. Responsibilities include scripting and programming to build and automate security tooling, deploying baseline controls with infrastructure-as-code, integrating log data into monitoring systems, and supporting security operations. This role will collaborate closely with operations and engineering teams to implement risk mitigation measures and manage identity and access controls across cloud environments.

Required Skills:
Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in enterprise security and identity engineering.
Strong expertise in identity and access management (IAM) including SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, and session management.
Experience working with IAM tools such as identity management platforms, directories, and access governance systems.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms and their security tools, covering virtual machines, container orchestration, serverless frameworks, firewalls, access control mechanisms, and data protection techniques.
Proficiency in coding and scripting languages including Python, Go, and configuration languages such as Terraform.
Experience with security monitoring and automation in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms.
Familiarity with public cloud environments and security tooling within those platforms.
Proficient in structured data formats such as JSON, YAML, and XML.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:
Experience supporting migration and integration projects across identity platforms.
Background in building scalable and instrumented cloud security solutions.
Familiarity with centralized logging systems and detective control implementation.
Knowledge of security posture preservation during platform transitions.

Employment Type:
6-Month Contract, Possible Extension
