Job Details

CAN Softtech Inc. is seeking a skilled Data Manager to support the Financial Management Support Services contract for the Military Sealift Command s (MSC) Comptroller Directorate (N8). This role will provide critical data collection, analysis, and reporting to support MSC s mission of delivering strategic sealift and logistics for national defense objectives. The Data Manager will oversee data-related activities, ensure compliance with the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA) of 2014, and utilize the OUSD(C) Advana Tool to analyze complex financial data, contributing to the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) system, OMB A-123 program, and special financial projects.

Data Manager

  • Candidate must meet one of the two following requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Data Sciences from an accredited college or university and at least five (5) years of professional experience as a Data Manager, or
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience as a Data Manager may be substituted for degree requirement.
  • Must understand and be able to practically apply the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA) of 2014.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Comptroller (OUSD[C]) Advanced Analytics (Advana) Tool.
  • Must have ability to analyze and prepare documentation, and possess the ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Be able to obtain, analyze, and evaluate complex textual and/or quantitative data in order to make comparisons among alternatives or to make recommendations for corrections or improvements in processes, operations or policies.
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and production of all data-related activities.
  • Must have knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) policies, and directives.
