About the Role

We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide technical support and assistance to end users. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, resolving technical problems, and ensuring a positive user experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and a solid understanding of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to help desk requests via phone, email, or in person.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with user account setup and management in Active Directory or similar systems.
  • Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex problems to higher-level support when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and training to end users on basic IT practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows/Mac OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
  • Networking Basics: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Customer Service: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Preferred: Experience with Active Directory, ticketing systems, and remote support tools.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-2 years of help desk or technical support experience preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
