Solution Development Architect: Pre-Sales (100% Remote)
Who You Are:
You are an experienced infrastructure professional with 7-10 years of expertise in infrastructure engineering, data center operations, and project estimation. You have:

  • A deep understanding of network infrastructure, sophisticated cabling systems, including copper, fiber optic, and wireless infrastructures, tailored to meet client-specific needs.

  • The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong skills in solution design, technical documentation, and time management.

  • A passion for delivering innovative infrastructure solutions that align with business goals.

About the Role:
As a Solution Development Architect, you will lead technical scoping, solution design, and pre-sales engagement for client projects. A key focus of this role is building comprehensive, accurate Statements of Work (SOWs) and cost estimates based on client needs. This role requires deep understanding of data center environments, including structured cabling systems, rack layouts, and physical infrastructure best practices. You'll interface with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and vendor partners to ensure successful project planning and delivery alignment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Discovery & Requirements Gathering

    • Join client calls and technical workshops to identify project drivers and technical requirements.

    • Understand business challenges, IT environments, and physical infrastructure needs including space, power, and cabling.

    • Translate technical and operational requirements into scalable, vendor-aligned solutions.

  • Solution Architecture & Scoping

    • Design integrated solutions across structured cabling, network architecture, data center systems, and cloud connectivity.

    • Evaluate project feasibility, dependencies, and delivery alignment.

    • Produce solution documentation, high-level designs, and architecture diagrams.

  • SOW Creation & Cost Estimation

    • Author detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) capturing scope, deliverables, exclusions, assumptions, and project phases.

    • Estimate project cost and labor based on standards, historical benchmarks, and vendor data.

    • Collaborate with Vendors, Subcontractors, and Myriad360 Partners for estimations, solutioning and project timelines.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Delivery, and OEM partners throughout the solution lifecycle.

    • Contribute to standardized documentation, pricing tools, and solution templates.

    • Review SOWs and solution designs for quality, accuracy, and delivery alignment.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of pre-sales experience.

  • 7-10 years of experience in data center services, technical project leadership, and infrastructure solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of data center structured cabling design, including:

    • Rack elevation planning, patch panel design, pathway/tray layout, and labeling standards.

    • Horizontal/vertical cabling strategies (fiber and copper), MPO/MTP design considerations.

    • BICSI-based implementation standards and cross-connect design.

  • DCDC (Data Center Design Consultant) and/or RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification.

  • Experience with tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, and quoting/estimation platforms.

  • Background working in a systems integrator, VAR, or MSP.

  • Familiarity with vendor ecosystems in networking, AV, security, and cloud infrastructure.

  • Experience with structured cabling bill of materials (BoMs), take-offs, and cost estimation.

  • Ability to create clear, detailed SOWs and level-of-effort (LOE) estimates.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and client-facing work.

  • Willingness to travel up to 70% for project scoping and client engagements.
