Title Desktop Support / Help Desk
Chicago Local candidates only. No H1Bs
Onsite with one day a week hybrid.
Looking for a sophisticated Desktop Support / Help Desk person who has worked with and dealt with the temperament and urgency of Investment Banking people . Portfolio Managers.
This role is to be the right hand guy of the person doing it now as the group is expanding. The company has a start up attitude where everything has to be done now.
You will be on call, including weekends in rotating shifts with the person doing it now, who will be your team lead. You put out fires, figure out what s working or not and improve the system. Diagnose desktop issues, this job includes office 365 / outlook issues / iphones and androids .Job description

  • Offer 1st line in person and telephone support to internal users with IT software or hardware questions
  • Resolve standard IT problems on the telephone quickly in accordance with internal procedures.
  • If necessary, escalate problems to next line support..
  • Report reoccurring problems to the Network Manager of IT to better optimize our processes.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and technical skills and demonstrate a huger for learning

Minimum Qualifications: MUST HAVE CHECKLIST

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficient with computers and IT applications Windows / Office 365 <---show office 365 on resume
  • College degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in an IT Help Desk .
  • Solid team player that can work independently and part of a small team
  • Effective verbal and written communicator.
  • Windows and Mac based experience
  • iPhone and Android familiar
