Description:
Job Title: Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Support Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL

Duration: 1+ year

We are seeking an experienced Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Support Engineer to design, modify, and integrate Test Program Sets (TPS), including Interface Test Adapters (ITA), cables, and software updates. You will play a key role in supporting validated test stations across all stages of development, integration, and testing of major subsystems and systems for multiple programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, integrate, verify, and validate Interface Test Adapters (ITA), harnesses, and related test equipment.
  • Integrate ITAs with common core test stations.
  • Develop and execute test plans, validation, and verification procedures.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain test stations used in production.
  • Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for test station or unit failures.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to resolve production issues.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of experience, or 3+ years with a master's degree.
  • Proficiency in Lab Windows CVI , Test Stand , and LabVIEW .
  • Experience with Test Stations in a Production Environment.
  • Strong understanding of Test Engineering processes, documentation, and design assurance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and apply electro-optical principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • 1-2 years of experience with Power Electronics.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Production and Electrical Testing.
  • 2-4 years of experience with User Acceptance Testing.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Validation Test Plans.
  • Broad application of technical principles and general knowledge of related disciplines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with lab equipment: DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies.
  • Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting test equipment and ITAs using schematics and documentation.
  • Experience in Electrical Design (cable and circuit board design).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
