Product Manager - Food Security and Disaster Relief

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Manager to join our team dedicated to food security and disaster relief. This role leverages technology and cross-functional collaboration to develop solutions that make a meaningful impact on global communities. The ideal candidate thrives in building roadmaps, analyzing data, collaborating across teams, and driving product innovations that help people access essential resources.

Responsibilities

A typical day in this role will include:
  • Strategic Product Development: Collaborate with nonprofit partners to understand critical needs and trends in food security. Develop and scope new projects that improve systems and deliverables.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate across teams focused on operations, supply chain, and tech development to scope projects and address needs.
  • Technical Innovation: Leverage software and technology to enhance notifications, streamline delivery systems, and develop innovative APIs.
  • Data & Metrics Analysis: Use KPIs to evaluate the success of projects. Participate in biweekly business reviews to assess metrics and impact across initiatives.
  • Team Engagement: Attend onboarding calls, community impact team meetings, and team off-sites. Coordinate with tech and programming teams to achieve strategic goals.

While travel is not required, there may be opportunities for occasional on-site visits in the Puget Sound region or other locations directly involved in initiatives.

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role.
  • Business Tools: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and comfort using both formal and informal communication channels.
  • Documentation Expertise: Experience creating business requirement documents (BRD) and other PM artifacts.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to earn trust and communicate across teams effectively.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to interpret metrics and trends to guide decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with tech products or teams, including API development and product prioritization.
  • Background in nonprofits, operations, supply chain, transportation, or food security.
  • Associates degree or equivalent experience within role-related fields.
