Job Details

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect for a 100% remote position supporting a large federal government program. This role will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise solutions across multiple domains. The Solution Architect will work closely with product owners, application owners, designers, developers, analysts, and project managers to modernize and integrate solutions that align with architectural standards, preferred technologies, and overall business strategy.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for product modernization and maintenance.
  • Integrate new and legacy technologies to improve performance, scalability, and security.
  • Design and manage architectures across servers, storage, networks, and cloud services.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architectural and boundary diagrams.
  • Partner with stakeholders to evaluate the impacts of new systems and updates on the existing ecosystem.
  • Support development teams with hands-on solution implementation, configuration, and coding.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during high-impact incidents and lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to various projects and initiatives as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative mindset.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and problem-solving ability.
  • 8+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure), DevOps practices, Agile methodologies, APIs, and data management.
  • Broad knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture, software development and engineering principles, enterprise architecture, system integration, IT operations, and decision-making frameworks.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with healthcare systems and standards (FHIR, EDI).
  • Prior federal government experience preferred.
  • Development background in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and large-scale integrations.
  • Active or the ability to obtain a government clearance.
