About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Product Owner to lead the vision, roadmap, and execution of our Energy Data Insights product. This role is critical in bridging business needs with technical execution, working closely with the Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that empower energy stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in energy data platforms, product lifecycle management, and prior experience with the OSDU (Open Subsurface Data Universe) platform.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Energy Data Insights.
  • Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager to align technical execution with product goals.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Prioritize the product backlog based on customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • Engage with stakeholders across energy, data science, and engineering to gather feedback and validate product direction.
  • Ensure seamless integration with the OSDU platform and compliance with its standards.
  • Monitor product performance, usage metrics, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or product ownership, preferably in the energy or data analytics domain.
  • Hands-on experience with the OSDU platform and understanding of its architecture and data services.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver complex products.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Systems, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with energy data standards (e.g., Green Button, OpenADR).
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Background in data visualization, machine learning, or predictive analytics.
