Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Customer Engagement
Serve as the technical lead in customer engagements, shaping solution architecture and consumption plans for opportunities identified both by Account Executives and by this role directly.
Uncover and shape from the 100 level conversation; typically takes the shape of a call with CTO/CPO to dive in more and land a 200-level conversation; hand off would be to solution engineer
Engage with SDC executive decision makers (CEOs, CTOs, CFOs, Heads of Product) and technical teams to align business models with Azure services.
Lead workshops, demos, and technical discussions to showcase how Azure enables mission-driven impact, while leveraging specialized Azure partners to scale reach and support advanced technical engagements.
Drive Azure consumption by building deployment strategies, POCs, and adoption roadmaps, proactively identifying and removing blockers.
Partner & Internal Team Collaboration
Collaborate with Account Executives and specialized Azure partners to co-sell, develop joint proposals, and accelerate Azure adoption. Take an opportunity from stage 2 to stage 3. Should be able to independently hold a solid conversation with CTO/CPO and appropriately communicate the value prop (i.e. why Fabric is a better fit than Snowflake, why Azure is a better fit than competitors, etc)
Ensure smooth collaboration between company field teams, partners, and SDCs to maximize solution deployment success.
Business Analysis & Planning
Conduct whitespace and portfolio analysis to identify the most promising SDCs for Azure growth.
Develop consumption-focused account plans, forecasts, and opportunity strategies aligned with our priorities.
Maintain CRM discipline in Dynamics 365 by creating opportunities and milestones, accurately tracking deal stages, dates, revenue impact, and probability to close.
Report on sales pipeline forecasts and ensure data accuracy for executive visibility and planning.
Provide competitive insights to position Azure effectively against alternative platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Salesforce, Snowflake).
Customer Success & Innovation
Build tailored Azure adoption roadmaps that connect SDC business priorities with scalable cloud architectures.
Develop transformation examples through case studies, innovation showcases, and partner-led implementations.
Capture and share technical wins and best practices across the Elevate community to enable repeatable success.
Core Competencies
Technical areas include Azure, data, AI, infra and security
Ability to translate complex technical solutions into business outcomes for executive leadership.
Skilled in consultative sales, technical storytelling, and executive-level communication.
Proficiency in orchestrating across company teams and specialized Azure partners.

Profile Screening:
- The ideal resume will contain previous experience selling Azure Solutions, experience working with CTOs and CIO, and can position well against other cloud solutions like AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Disqualifiers:
- Candidates with only a small amount of sales experience will not be a good fit for the role.
TOP REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience with Possessing technical expertise in Azure data and AI workloads,
- Experience with leading conversations with CIOs, chief data officers, and chief security officers to drive opportunities and proofs of concept.

Typical Day in the Role:
- Purpose of the Team: This team is a small sales team and partners closely with Account Executives to sell Azure solutions to software development companies.
- Key projects: This role focuses on driving Azure solution adoption and consumption by engaging with for profit software development companies (SDCs) that build and sell solutions serving nonprofits and social impact organizations. The core emphasis is on translating SDC business models into Azure-based technical strategies, aligning stakeholders, and collaborating with partners to deliver scalable impact and measurable cloud growth.
- Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of managing pipeline, advancing deals, work with ATU and uncovering deals, and coordinating with partners
