Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, development, and delivery of ETL workflows using IBM Infosphere DataStage, Snowflake, and Big Data tools.
- Perform end-to-end data integration including data migration from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms like Snowflake.
- Develop optimized SQL/PLSQL procedures and UNIX shell scripts to support ETL automation and job scheduling (using Control-M, Autosys).
- Work closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate requirements into technical specifications and data mapping documents.
- Lead production support, troubleshoot job failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement data quality checks and enhancements.
- Manage UAT, QA, and regression testing phases including test case preparation, execution, and defect resolution.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to offshore/onshore team members (6+ direct reports).
- Handle performance tuning of DataStage jobs, SQL queries, and database operations.
- Maintain documentation, participate in audits, and support SOX compliance initiatives.
Detailed Job Description
- Design, Develop, test, and maintain ETL batch processes using IBM DataStage
- Strong SQL/Database concepts, with relevant experience on PL/SQL
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, to be able to work with business users and cross functional teams
- Troubleshooting- Identify and resolve complex data related issues including conducting Root cause analysis
- Data Analysis- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs
- Experience in establishing criteria for data use/test cases.
- Documentation- Create and maintain technical design documents for data processes and workflow
- Collaboration- Work with cross-functional teams across US and India locations
- Optimization- Fine tune SQL queries and DataStage jobs for improved performance and reliability
- Strong business analysis and requirement definition background in Data Integration (ETL)
