As an Engineer III at the Hilton Bloomington, you will maintain optimal hotel operations by promptly addressing guest and associate maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring all building systems and equipment function efficiently.

What will you be doing?

• Repair and paint furniture and structures (cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows and wallpaper).
• Check and make minor repairs on electrical systems such as HVAC, refrigeration controls, vacuum cleaners, hairdryers, lightning systems, television sets and phones .
• Check and make minor repairs on plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipe lines, valves, toilets, showers, sinks and cutting of keys as well as major repair of locks.
• Performs preventive maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems according to the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain all cleanliness and sanitation of work area along with personal hygiene.
• Perform other duties and complete special projects as assigned.

What do you bring to the role?

• Able to use ladders and lift heavy items.
• Ability to use all general repair tools.
• Ability to read simple drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist, and stretch.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Must be able to perform basic math.
• 3 to 4 years previous experience in a general repair maintenance position.
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
