Location: Austin, TX 78751 (Remote may transition to hybrid)
Duration: 10 months
Interview Process: Microsoft Teams

This position is currently remote but may become hybrid later in the assignment. Specific in-office days will be determined at that time.


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst III to support the implementation and enhancement of PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2, focusing on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing modules. This role requires a strong functional business analysis background and the ability to lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, testing, and integration with third-party systems.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively within a large, distributed project team.


Level Description

This is a senior-level role requiring 8 or more years of experience. The successful candidate will rely on their expertise and professional judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The position involves a wide range of complex tasks and requires creativity, initiative, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives and challenges; identify alternative solutions and perform cost-benefit analyses.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational procedures, identify pain points, and define user requirements.

  • Document detailed business and system requirements, including data input/output, reporting needs, and process flows.

  • Review system capabilities, technical specifications, and scheduling constraints to evaluate feasibility.

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, fit-gap analyses, and data mapping between legacy and interface systems.

  • Perform end-to-end functional testing and support system integration activities.

  • Contribute to documentation, training, and support efforts as needed.

  • Collaborate with a remote team using communication and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum processes and assist in process improvement initiatives.

  • May require occasional off-hours support depending on project phase.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.

  • 8+ years of experience implementing Accounts Receivable and Billing modules.

  • 8+ years of experience gathering requirements and conducting fit-gap analyses with business subject matter experts.

  • 8+ years of experience performing end-to-end system integration testing with third-party interfaces.

  • 4+ years of experience using Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • 2+ years of experience collaborating with large teams using Microsoft Teams.


Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 4+ years working with public sector organizations (federal, state, or local government).

  • 2+ years of experience as a business analyst in General Ledger.

  • 2+ years working with PeopleSoft Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).

  • 2+ years of experience with SharePoint.

  • 2+ years of experience with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (CPA) CAPPS Financials system.

  • 1+ year of experience with Jira.

  • 1+ year of experience working within Scrum or Agile frameworks.
