About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialty Software Engineer to consult on complex, large-scale initiatives within the Capital Markets domain. In this role, you will analyze and resolve multi-faceted technical challenges, collaborate strategically with client teams, and ensure compliance with organizational standards. This position requires deep technical expertise and the ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities

• Provide consultation on complex software engineering initiatives with broad impact.
• Review and analyze large-scale or long-term technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
• Contribute to resolving complex situations by applying strong knowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate strategically with client personnel and cross-functional teams.
• Clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high-performance programming using Java or Python.
• 5+ years in full-stack development using Angular/TypeScript (front-end) and Java with Spring Framework (back-end).
• 5+ years working with Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing.
• 5+ years experience with Apache Ignite for in-memory computing.
• Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Experience using code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, New Relic, Elastic, OpenTelemetry).

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with OpenFin for modern desktop applications.
• Experience deploying and managing containerized applications using OpenShift and PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
• Strong knowledge of Capital Markets Fixed Income domain.
• Understanding of Bond Pricing, Bond Risk, Bond PnL, and Position Management.
• Familiarity with Trade lifecycle, End-of-Day Marking, and related processes.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural, matrixed environment.
• Strong delivery focus and ability to thrive in a fast-paced enterprise setting.

Required Education & Experience

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, consulting, training, military service, or education.
