RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a Detroit, MI-based automotive manufacturer who brings engineering, technology, and design together to create innovative vehicles, energy solutions, and in-vehicle services is seeking a Dyno Technician. The candidate must be open to 2nd and 3rd shift. The candidate will be trained on 1st and moved to off shift.
Essential Functions:
* Installing, removing, and monitoring test vehicles on a chassis dynamometer; This includes portable test equipment
* Receive an assignment
* Communicate with last shift
* Install and remove vehicle from chassis
* Work with non-intrusive robots
* Working outside in garage
* Set up test and monitor test
* Group has a total of 18 dynos - candidate will watch 1 - 10 dynos at a time
* Collect data
* No tools required for this position
* Outdoor Chassis Dyno Lab; Control Room is indoor, but outdoor operations required at times
* Must be available to work all three shifts and weekends
* Generally, will be 4/10 schedule
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or related technical field
* 5-7 years of experience required
* Ability to identify relevant drawings, layouts and graphic illustrations and use them to investigate issues and potential solutions
* Understanding of vehicle architecture and function, including packaging and dynamic interactions of components in assigned areas
* Ability to create, file data and retrieve information from electronic databases
* Strong knowledge data processing techniques, methods, software and application to solution of real problems
* Ability to develop work plans, including identification and retrieval of necessary information, data and drawings, required analysis method or technique and effective report format
* Experience as an auto mechanic or technician
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work independently and with a team
* Ability to utilize existing or new information and processes to resolve issues
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
