Description – OSP Permitting Specialist (Pre-Construction Project Coordinator)
Summary:
This role supports pre-construction activities by managing permits for pole attachments and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The position is highly collaborative and involves tracking and managing railroad and highway crossings, working closely with pole owners, finance, legal, and construction teams.

Job at a glance:
- 6-month contract (Possibility of temp to perm)
- $40/hr + optional benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k)
- On-site (Pittsburgh, PA)
- Manage the permitting process for pole attachments (no municipal or underground permits).
- Track and coordinate railroad and highway crossing permits.
- Collaborate with pole owners, stakeholders, finance, legal, and internal construction teams.
- Facilitate pre-construction activities, including gathering scope and design requirements, conducting reviews and approvals, and coordinating site walks and pole profiling with external partners.
- Prepare and submit complete permit packages.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Previous experience in OSP permitting.
- Ability to read and interpret fiber design plans.
- Strong organizational and communication skills for stakeholder coordination.
