Description
SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for our customer site in Hanahan, SC.
The Supply Technician responsibilities include: (but are not limited to)
Supervision: Lead and supervise a logistics team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies. Assign tasks and oversee the team's productivity and quality of work.
Stocking Tasks: Possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures concerning stocking tasks such as receipts, invoices, weights, updating of inventory, inspection, and methods of storage.
Coordination: Coordinate and expedite the flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with Facility Manager or Facility Staff Engineer(s) priorities. Review production schedules and confer with Facilities Staff to determine material requirements.
Material Transfer: Arrange the transfer of materials to meet production schedules; examine material to verify the type specified for the current project; and compute the amount of material needed for specific job orders.
Reporting: Compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand and coordinate with Facility Staff for the repair and assembly/installation of facilities unique material.
Receiving and Reporting: Receive and unpack materials/supplies and report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes. Complete shipping and receiving reports.
Physical Demands: Safely complete all physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to:
-Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis.
-Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing, or squatting for extended periods.
-Walking distances of at least one-half mile daily.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Five (5) years of experience, to include: supervisory or warehouse lead at a DoD facility; financial management; logistics support for projects involving electronic/ electrical repair and installation, ordering, acquisition, distribution of material, equipment and resources.
- with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Active DoD clearance accepted.
