About the Role:
We're seeking a hands-on developer to lead the design and development of a custom workplace technology agent using Copilot Studio. You'll be the sole engineer responsible for building intelligent, task-driven agents that integrate across Microsoft 365 surfaces and leverage modern AI orchestration frameworks. This role combines deep expertise in Microsoft technologies with advanced generative AI development.
Responsibilities
- Build and configure retrieval, task-based, and autonomous agents using Copilot Studio
- Design and implement data connectors, schemas, and workflows using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Integrate agents into Microsoft 365 surfaces including Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Manage security and access policies using Entra ID, Conditional Access, and tenant-level controls
- Apply governance and compliance standards across M365 (e.g., retention labels, DLP, audit policies)
- Develop custom LLM-based solutions using Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and related frameworks
- Engineer multi-turn prompts and agentic workflows for dynamic task execution
- Structure and preprocess data for model consumption; evaluate performance using grounding, latency, and helpfulness metrics
- Implement autonomous agent capabilities including memory, planning, and feedback loops
- Ensure responsible AI practices including bias mitigation and safety guardrails
- Use modern development tooling including GitHub Copilot, VS Code, Azure ML, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience building agents in Copilot Studio and integrating with Microsoft 365
- Strong proficiency in Power Platform and Dataverse schema design
- Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel
- Solid understanding of prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and AI safety principles
- Familiarity with enterprise-grade security, compliance, and governance in M365 environments
- Experience with Git-based workflows and modern development environments.
