Location: Remote - Prefer candidates local or near San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: M-F 9am-5pm

Job Description:
This sub family is responsible for installation, configuration, administration, support and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. Responsibilities may include management of systems infrastructures, implementing best practices to Identify and recommend system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure. Support duties may include updating and supporting systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space. Implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
Brief description of the project and what this person will be doing - day to day responsibilities:
  • Daily coordination with users, customers, and technical teams
  • Installation, administration, and maintenance of Business Objects (BOBJ) systems
  • Upgrades and migrations
  • Configuring of virtual systems
  • Allocating storage space
  • Creation and maintenance of user accounts
  • Scheduling of automated jobs
  • Writing and deploying scripts
  • Backup and recovery of IT infrastructure
  • Updating and supporting systems by tuning performance
  • Implementing critical patches
  • Reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies
  • Generation of reports as needed by users, customers, and auditors
  • Verification of system releases, upgrades, and migrations
  • Continuous monitoring of complex HR systems
  • Troubleshooting user and system issues
  • Generation of standard operating procedures
  • Implementing best practices
  • Deliverable support for security audits

Must have skills/technologies:
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 years of prior relevant experience
  • Holds an active investigation (Tier 5) in order to be adjudicated to the IT-I level Position of Trust
  • Active Security+ certification
  • At least two years of experience with Business Objects (BOBJ), SQL databases, and script generation
  • Willing to obtain BOBJ profession certification within 180 days of start date
  • Willing to work nights and weekends
  • Good communication skills and ability to train others
  • Ability to learn quickly and train others
  • Good at multitasking
  • Regularly demonstrates Initiative and resourcefulness
  • Can handle new tasks and small projects independently
  • Can juggle multiple support roles depending on needs of systems, customers, and technical team
  • Collaborates well with functional and technical stakeholders
