Our client in the Financial industry looking to bring on a driven Entry Level Accountant. This would be a great opportunity to grow with a company long-term.
Details
Responsibilities include working in various areas of the servicing department, including but not limited to invoice payments, reporting, transfers, boarding, deboarding, cashiering, QA, accounting, and IT.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies and procedures
- Coordinates inter and intra-departmental activities; resolves inquiries or issues relating to loan documentation and other matters as necessary
- Respond to inquiries or refer inquiries to the appropriate department or person, and exhibit the necessary follow-through with customers and/or staff involved.
- Assumes responsibility for special projects; gathers data and prepares reports for Senior Management, audits, and other personnel.
- Processes, solves, and answers complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries.
- Answers telephones, researched, and answers questions from investors as required
- Able to monitor investor account details for non-payments and delayed payments.
- Ability to work closely with investors to research and resolve investor queries related to billings.
- Ability to process and post credit card transactions from Investors.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Ability to navigate the Servicing system to allow for timely and accurate posting of borrower payments.
- Monitor all bank accounts to ensure that balances are appropriate.
- Answers telephones, researches, and answers questions.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work-related experience should consist of a strong knowledge of accounting for mortgage and/or financial industries.
