Job Details

Purpose:

The Florida State Agency is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join the Office of Information Technology (OIT). This role is critical in transitioning to an automated identity provisioning system and supporting the Department s Identity Access Management (IAM) infrastructure.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Education:
    A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution; OR
    Four (4) years of equivalent work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

  • Experience:
    At least three (3) years of direct experience with IAM systems such as Okta, SailPoint, Microsoft Identity Manager, or comparable solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • User Account Management:

    • Onboarding, offboarding, and access changes across systems

    • Monitor account management workflows and SLA performance

    • Enforce role-based access and manage user attributes

  • Access Control Tools:

    • Define and manage user roles, policies, and entitlements

    • Implement RBAC and ABAC mechanisms

  • Metrics and Dashboards:

    • Create role-based dashboards to monitor access control metrics

    • Analyze trends and suggest process improvements

  • Technical Troubleshooting:

    • Address provisioning issues and investigate unauthorized access

  • Reporting and Auditing:

    • Conduct access reviews and generate audit trails

    • Ensure compliance with internal standards and regulations

  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Coordinate with Security and IT teams

    • Train end users on identity processes

    • Clearly communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • IAM experience with tools such as Okta, SailPoint, or MIM

    • Strong knowledge of user roles, access permissions, and system integration

    • Proficiency in SSO, MFA, and least privilege access principles

    • Experience with compliance reporting and audit preparation

    • Effective collaboration and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders

    • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with request/ticketing systems (ServiceNow preferred)

    • Deep understanding of IAM security best practices and threats

    • Able to express and challenge ideas constructively and professionally

    • Clear and approachable communicator who encourages open dialogue
