About this Position:
Job Title: Broadband Program Manager
Duties, Scope of Work, and Milestones:

Improve broadband affordability, speed, and adoption for unserved communities and populations while driving job creation, innovation, and economic growth.

Facilitate and collaborate with partners, federal, state, local, tribal, telecom, and business stakeholders to identify areas of efficiency and joint initiatives.

Participate in planning for broadband needs across education, healthcare, public safety, industries, government, and residents.

Gather, prepare, and submit shovel-ready projects for federal, state, and philanthropic funding opportunities.

Advise IT leadership and the County Manager Office on policies, strategies, and best practices to ensure equitable, affordable, high-speed broadband access.

Use mapping tools, local data, and previous studies to identify high-need areas, develop short-, medium-, and long-term strategies, and track performance metrics.

Lead project implementation, including deadlines, budget tracking, reporting, stakeholder education, and participation in local and statewide broadband committees and workgroups.
Required Skills:

Must have familiarity with client's infrastructure, digital broadband adoption programs, private sector partners, and key strategic initiatives to bring high-speed affordable internet access throughout the County.

Must have working relationships with County's infrastructure suppliers including but not limited to Amplify Systems Integration, Geotel Communications, HR&A Advisors, Switch and Zayo Fiber.
Special Skills:

Extensive experience with managing and delivering broadband infrastructure construction projects.
