**This will be a hybrid role-- 3 days onsite in SE Austin, 2 days remote. Candidates must be local.

Position Summary:

The Security Systems Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, integration, and ongoing management of electronic physical security systems across the organization. This includes comprehensive knowledge of physical security technologies (e.g., cameras, access control, alarms, intrusion detection, security fencing, license plate recognition, and visitors' management systems). An understanding of cybersecurity technologies is preferred. The Program Manager will ensure all systems meet business requirements, comply with relevant regulations and policies, and align with overall security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full lifecycle of security systems projects from concept and vendor selection through implementation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Facilities, Legal, Safety, Operations, HR) and external vendors to develop and execute security technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee system administration to ensure that the performance, upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting for access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, and other security infrastructure are staying in compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, procurement, and contract negotiation for security systems. Managing costs, forecasting performance for security programs and projects in conjunction with our project management office.
  • Develop and maintain system standards, SOPs, and documentation for operational consistency and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and industry-specific security regulations and standards such as CIS & FISMA.
  • Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of new technologies, system analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, consultants, and integrators during system upgrades or facility expansions.
  • Train and support internal teams on the use and administration of security systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide technical expertise during security incident investigations.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Security Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience program management related to integration of electronic security systems and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in integrating diverse security systems into a comprehensive and unified solution (e.g., integrating cameras, access control, alarms, intrusion detection, license plate recognition, and visitors' management systems).
Certifications (preferred but not required):
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP ), Physical Security Professional (PSP ), or Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of current trends in security technology, including AI, machine learning, biometric authentication, and mobile security solutions.
  • Familiarity with IP networks, PoE devices, and cybersecurity principles related to physical security.
  • Proficient in project management tools and platforms (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira).
Soft Skills:
  • Presentation and Reporting: Ability to clearly and concisely present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, and prepare comprehensive program reports.
  • Training and Mentorship: Ability to train and mentor team members, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Must be someone who is a self-starter.
