Job Description
***Only qualified Network/Telecom Specialist candidates located in the Raleigh, NC area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Required Skills:
Experience with using ServiceNow to handle workflow and ticket requests (7 Years)
Experience executing Disaster Recovery and Business continuity steps (7 Years)
Experience with Backup, VMWare, Windows Active Directory, Patching, Antivirus, Linux, and Cloud technologies (7 Years)
Ability to handle verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical groups (7 Years)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and maintenance of both the hardware and software necessary for a computer network
Specialization in Local Area Networks (LANs)/Wide Area Networks (WANs), TCP/IP, virtual machines, and/or server/network infrastructure
Responsibility for installation, configuration and administration of network routers and switches
Responsibility for installation of cable, wiring and related equipment for telephony and data interfaces and systems with communications functions
Execution of disaster recovery / back up procedures and archiving procedures
Responsibility for performance tuning, capacity planning, database administration, and fault management
Manage daily helpdesk tickets and provide update on current tasks
Provide inputs and participate in planning for the server and storage team
Handling support tasks and related escalations
Handling various requirement details from various business units, and documentation
Handling Disaster Recovery steps for data centers that comprises of storage, compute, network and virtualization technologies
Demonstrate knowledge of executing Disaster Recovery and Business continuity steps
Demonstrate knowledge of Backup, VMWare, Windows Active Directory, Patching, Antivirus, Linux, and Cloud technologies
Ability to handle verbal and written communication to both technical and non-technical groups
