Overview:
We are seeking a Software QA Analyst who will support our client's Microsoft Solutions team. This role will be responsible for working with the software developers and business users to test and verify a portfolio of software systems including critical business functions, and technology areas such as large-scale resources, integrated energy solutions, HR, and AI.
Duties:

Work with business analysts, developers, and project management to verify and validate software systems while following a Software Development Life Cycle process.

Define and document testing strategies and test cases in partnership with the Business Analyst and Developer.

Document findings in clear and concise language within NYSERDA's Jira environment.

Effectively communicate status, collaborate, and problem-solve with relevant stakeholders.
 
-  
Collaborate with colleagues to identify recommendations for process improvements, overcoming constraints, and resolve difficult operational and technological issues.
 
-  
Identify and report risks to management.
 
-  
Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Test (UAT) sessions with IT and business stakeholders.

Participate in technical reviews of their own and other's work.
 
Mandatory Qualifications:
-  
2+ years of experience as a Software QA Analyst
 
-  
Experience with QA of web applications (including frontend and backend).
 
-  
Experience in energy and energy efficiency
 
-  
Experience with QA as part of an Agile team following a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.

Basic knowledge of SQL.
 
-  
Skill in managing multiple diverse activities simultaneously, delivering commitments, and operating with speed, accuracy, and strong judgement.

Ability to help identify and drive the best possible solution when presented with a series of opportunities and constraints.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
 
Desirable Qualifications:

Prior government experience

Experience with any of the following: Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Visual Basic .NET, Atlassian Jira.
