Job Description

The Role:

Business Product Owner - Effectively manage and oversee all product aspects of the Program Change Management (PCM) tool, including roadmap/vision and user feedback. Defines requirements, prioritizes features, and plans releases to meet business needs in collaboration with the PCM Business Process Owners and our IT partners. By managing the product backlog and writing user stories, this role ensures effective collaboration with stakeholders. Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and gather feedback for improvements. Serves as the main contact with IT for the PCM tool, participating in key events to ensure our solutions deliver value and return on investment (ROI).

What You'll Do:
  • Product Backlog: A prioritized list of features, enhancements, fixes, and technical improvements that need to be worked on. It's constantly updated based on feedback and changing requirements.
  • Roadmaps: Visual representations of the product's development plan over time, highlighting key milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Detailed descriptions of functionalities from the user's perspective, including conditions that must be met for the story to be considered complete, security model
  • Release Plans: Strategies for deploying the product to users, including timelines, features to be included, and any dependencies or risks
  • Lead Tool improvement projects including engagement of Business Process Owners from multiple cross-functional teams
  • Training Materials: Development and delivery of training programs and materials to educate team members and stakeholders on the PCM tool features/functionality
  • User acceptance testing (UAT): Create test cases, conduct UAT, write bugs & evaluate bug fixes. Ensures Business Process Owner engagement throughout the process.
  • Bring forward Tool improvement opportunities (5% Efficiency improvement Goal)
  • Stakeholder Communication: Regular updates and reports to keep stakeholders informed about the product's progress, including presentations, demos, and status reports
  • Tool Metrics and KPIs: Key performance indicators to measure the product's success and areas for improvement
  • Feedback Collection and Analysis: Gathering and analyzing feedback from users, stakeholders, and the development team to continuously improve the product
  • Building environments to test new processes or introduction of new tool functionality, Tool configuration management, Enterprise Tool Process
  • Support audits as required by user access process
  • Approval of Data access management output
