Description

NOTE: This role is fully on-site.

We are offering an employment opportunity for an Engineer/Product Designer in Des Moines, Iowa. As part of our team, you will be involved in the entire product development process, from the initial design phase to the final product release. This role is geared towards those who possess a strong understanding of 12 Volt DC Electrical systems, ERP systems, and 3D design tools.

Responsibilities:

Develop full lifecycle product designs, including testing prototypes, manufacturing, and implementation.

Design and adjust mechanical components to fulfill specific needs and requirements.

Conduct systematic experiments, analyze the resulting data, and interpret the findings.

Evaluate the overall performance, reliability, and safety of the finished product.

Identify and create solutions to address any issues that may arise.

Modify designs to meet specifications and eliminate any malfunctioning.

Gather feedback from operators and end users to improve product designs.

Prepare detailed product reports and documentation.

Continuously learn and develop new theories or methods to enhance skills.

Manage project scope and budget estimation.

Requirements

12V DC electrical troubleshooting and wiring knowledge

Familiarity with 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (Solidworks, AutoCAD, ProE Creo)

Experience using ERP Systems

Mathematical computing and analysis tools knowledge (Metlab, Excel, LabView)

Working experience with product lifecycle management

Creative, analytical, and technical writing skills

Ability to clearly communicate technical knowledge
