Title : Calypso OTC Trading Platform Developer
Location : New York, NY 10036 (Fully Onsite)
Job Type : 12+ Months Contract
Interview Mode: Video
- Development, during month end trading hours
- End of month activities, reconciliation/monthly reports, any issues need to support, Scrum calls with India team (will need to start at 8:00 am 8:30 am Eastern
- Sybase is DB
- Need over the counter Derivative knowledge, familiar with Team City or sonar OR Jenkins
- Enhancement request- should be familiar in customizations
- Typical day: Start role doing support then move to development - 50% support (traders/Calypso) and 50% development - security, support for application/users, have queries and have issues with payment (cash flow not matching and need to figure out issue) - Root cause
- Top Skills: Calypso, Java, SQL, Derivatives, Operations team that releases payment and trade notices 3 payment messages released and need a knowledge of payment message (SWIFT), exposure to build and deployment (will build out servers CICD pipeline)
- Must have any of the following Calypso versions 14/15/16
The right candidate:
- Has hands on experience with Calypso Development, Calypso Upgrade, Customization. We are currently on V16 version.
- Design the quality platform solutions and interfaces with various MSIM systems.
- Interact with multiple business stakeholders (traders, trade support and operations) for requirements and support. Required Experience: 8+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in Calypso Development Skill Set: Calypso Developer with core java experience
Primary Skills:
- Hands on development background on Calypso platform and Calypso version Upgrade.
- Substantial experience in Java EE with deep understanding of Spring Framework
- Working knowledge of Databases including Design, SQL proficiency, and Stored Procedure creation
- Familiarity with Unix Environment (basic commands) and batch scripting languages (shell/Perl/python)
- Strong development skills with ability to understand technical design and translate the same into workable solution.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and work on the same to meet business requirements.
- Excellent communication and technical writing.
Good to have skills:
- Experience working with Source Code Management solutions (ex. Git, Perforce, CVS)
- Familiarity with standard DevOps tools Jenkins, Sonar, Jira Knowledge of financial technologies (e.g. FpML, Swift protocol) and business applications
