Salesforce Technical Lead (Interim security clearance or higher e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI)

Location: Remote

The HigherEchelon Salesforce Practice is seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to join our team. As a Salesforce Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions. Your expertise in Salesforce development, proficiency in the Apex programming language, and deep understanding of Salesforce DevOps will be instrumental in guiding our team to success. We're looking for a leader who can excel in declarative configuration and is an expert in Flow, understanding when to configure and when to code.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other code-based Salesforce technologies.

Collaborate closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into technically sound solutions.

Champion the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Harness the power of Salesforce Flow for complex requirements, with the ability to seamlessly transition to coding when necessary.

Integrate Salesforce with other systems and platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.

Conduct thorough code reviews to uphold code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

Tackle troubleshooting and debugging of Salesforce applications, swiftly identifying and resolving issues.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, administrators, and QA testers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Stay abreast of Salesforce releases, new features, and industry trends, and provide recommendations for optimizing development processes and applications.

Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, nurturing a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Provides overall technical direction to the entire team with expertise in Salesforce, AWS, cybersecurity, and object-oriented development.

Decomposes defect, technical debt, and improvement issues into technical user stories that the team can configure and develop.

With end-to-end expertise and ownership, takes responsibility for all technical activities for the team.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred public sector experience or multiple Salesforce project implementation experience.

Strong expertise in the Salesforce platform and applications, with a deep understanding of Salesforce development best practices and standards.

Proficiency in the Apex programming language and declarative tools, such as Salesforce Flow or OmniStudio.

Extensive experience in developing Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages.

Familiarity with front-end web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Profound knowledge of Salesforce integration patterns and technologies, encompassing REST and SOAP APIs.

Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to dissect complex requirements and craft efficient solutions.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders at all levels.

Salesforce certifications, including Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II/I and Salesforce Certified Administrator, are highly preferred.

Additional certifications in Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Consultant and Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer are a significant advantage.

Experience with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Salesforce DevOps Center, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab) is desirable.

A strong background in development projects using DevOps, Salesforce configuration, and the Apex programming language is a plus.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government Public Trust Clearance.

Required Education and Experience:

BA/BS w/12+ yrs of general work experience.

Candidate must also demonstrate experience supporting Salesforce platform(s) within Department of Defense (DoD) environments.

Must possess (Interim security clearance or higher, e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI)

Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I.

Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a Salesforce development team.

5 years of experience developing Lightning Web Components.

Experience with full-stack engineering, including proficiency in database development/integration, and 3 years of experience deploying Salesforce production enterprise applications.

U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this role.
