Prominent is looking for an Azure Cloud Enterprise Architect for a contract to hire in Omaha, Nebraska, Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, Frisco, Texas or Greenwood Village, Colorado. The successful Candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing information systems which will adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization. Additionally, they will analyze system requirements, and ensure that systems will offer security and will be effectively integrated with current applications. This Cloud Enterprise Architect will ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and offer support to the application development department regarding new technologies and system requirements. Thorough knowledge of infrastructure, application programming, and web and software applications is required!

Potential candidates will need to have the ability to work W2 on Prominents’ payroll during the contract period.

What you will need to have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an Azure Cloud Architect.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Entra ID, Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, etc.
• Hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform
• Strong familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of network and security concepts in Azure.
• Excellent familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and NIST controls.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead technical discussions.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

What would be great to have:
• Azure certifications such as AZ-300, AZ-301, or AZ-303 are a plus
• Master's degree in technology is a plus.
• Microsoft security certifications are a plus.
• Architecture level experience with other major public cloud providers is beneficial.
• Familiarity with FISMA HIGH and FedRAMP HIGH security standards.
