Data Engineer

San Jose, CA

Role Overview:

As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures supporting business intelligence and analytics. You ll collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data availability, quality, and accessibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using Matillion and Alteryx.

Develop and maintain Snowflake data warehouse solutions.

Create/manage data models, schemas, and data integration workflows.

Collaborate with reporting teams to build dashboards in Tableau/Power BI.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with Cisco s governance.

Troubleshoot and optimize workflows for performance/scalability.

Work with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into solutions.

Support access/subscription processes via Cisco EDAG portal.

Maintain documentation of data architecture and pipelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

8+ years of hands-on Snowflake data warehouse experience (schema design, ingestion, optimization).

Strong SQL and data modeling expertise.

Proficiency in ETL tools (Matillion, Alteryx).

Experience with Tableau/Power BI dashboards and reports.

Familiarity with enterprise data access, SSO, ODBC connections.

Exposure to cloud data platforms and data subscription management.
