Middleware Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Middleware Engineer with a strong background in automation, infrastructure, and enterprise middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting middleware platforms, with a focus on automation tools and DevOps practices.

Middleware IAC Engineer

Hybrid

Jersey City, NJ, Tampa, FL and Dallas, TX

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support middleware infrastructure including WebSphere, Tomcat, IIB, IHS, MQ, and Messaging Brokers.
• Automate deployment and configuration processes using Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate middleware solutions with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Nexus.
• Monitor and maintain high availability, scalability, and performance of middleware systems.
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack including infrastructure, middleware, and application layers.
• Manage and optimize environments on Unix/Linux platforms.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
• Work closely with application teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of applications.
• Provide on-call support as needed for production issues.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience with Ansible Automation Platform for configuration management and orchestration.
• In-depth knowledge of middleware technologies: WebSphere, Tomcat, IIB, IHS, Messaging Brokers, MQ.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and DevOps tools: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Nexus.
• Strong expertise in Unix/Linux administration and scripting.
• Solid understanding of middleware architecture, performance tuning, and security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Working knowledge of AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Experience in containerized environments and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
