RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Taxonomy Specialist in Beaverton, OR.
Summary:
The Digital Process Studio team, a team within the Advanced Digital Creation Studio (ADCS), leverages modern technology, skills and data driven process to explore, pilot and accelerate the creation of product innovations concepts. This contractor will apply their expertise in data management and information science to help ADCS teams design and prototype processes for organizing and classifying information in a highly ambiguous environment to enhance the overall efficiency and accessibility of data.
Key Business Outcomes: As a part of this engagement, contractor will drive the following:
Apply expertise to help ADCS create a business taxonomy and metadata framework that includes:
* Developing and maintaining user friendly taxonomies, classification systems, and metadata framework
* Collaborating with subject matter experts to understand and document content relationships
* Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure taxonomy aligns with business objectives
* Analyzing user behavior data to inform taxonomy decisions
Assist teams in applying taxonomic principles to classify and tag data, ensuring accurate and consistent metadata application:
* Implement and enforce data classification standards to enhance data discoverability and retrieval
* Conduct quality assessments on Taxonomies
* Document processes and guidelines for using the taxonomy
Develop a taxonomy governance framework:
* You will develop and operationalize a taxonomy governance framework across multiple teams and diverse partners
* You will educate partners on taxonomy processes, workflows, and governance frameworks
* Provide subject matter expertise to help educate and increase data literacy within Innovation product creation teams
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7+ years of experience in building taxonomies, data design, data strategy, and/or data architecture
* Ideal candidates will have experience within AI space and emerging technologies for data management
* Experience designing and collecting taxonomy requirements, including interviews, document analysis, workshops, business process outcome modelling, or task and workflow analysis
* Experience working in a collaborative team environment, including providing and receiving constructive peer feedback to promote excellence across the team
* Experience communicating complex technical information among multiple partners
* Experience with natural language search processes and machine learning to support taxonomy development and automated content tagging
* Innovation mindset with proven experience working in a fast paced, rapid prototyping environment where continuous learning is core to our identity
* Able to work with grace under pressure and operate effectively and proactively in an ambiguous environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
