We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our team as an Application Monitoring Support Specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in production support for Java-based applications and a strong familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, ServiceNow, and others. This role involves ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of critical business applications, identifying and resolving issues, and proactively monitoring system health.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Monitor Java-based applications using tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and other monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues in a timely manner, minimizing impact on business operations.
Incident Management:
- Respond to incidents and service requests logged in ServiceNow or similar ITSM tools.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence of issues.
Proactive System Health Checks:
- Set up and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports to proactively identify potential issues.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other support teams to resolve application-related issues.
- Provide clear and concise communication to stakeholders regarding system health, incidents, and resolutions.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance monitoring processes and tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Participate in post-incident reviews and contribute to knowledge base documentation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in application monitoring and production support roles.
- Certifications in relevant tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Splunk) or ITIL framework are a plus.
- Hands-on experience in production support for Java-based applications.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow for incident and ticket management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve application issues.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries.
- Awareness of cloud platforms and containerized environments (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes) is a plus.
