Epsilon C5I is seeking intelligent, creative self-starters who are majoring in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines for internship opportunities in our Beavercreek, OH office.

These will be full-time paid internship opportunities awarded on a competitive basis. The summer intern assignments will begin in late May/early June following the completion of the school year and last through mid-August. The successful candidate(s) will be provided with hands-on experience working with members of our professional Engineering Team on technically oriented projects in the fields of.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for researching and writing computer code for topics including prototype modeling, simulation, and analysis of aircraft, satellites, and weapon systems; reinforcement learning for vehicle control; autonomous control; and electromechanical devices.

Security Requirements:
  • Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for a TS/SCI government security clearance.

General requirements:
  • Emphasis on emerging Juniors and Seniors pursuing degrees in engineering, science, or mathematics.
  • Must work well both in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Must have strong research, writing and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and experience formatting, graphs, diagrams, and tables.
  • Must be a full-time student at an accredited, U.S. college or university.
  • Must have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement.
  • Previous internship experience highly desirable.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Desired Project-specific skillsets sought:
  • Completed junior year of studies in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines
  • Experience with CAD modeling
  • Working knowledge of git, code containerization, Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation
  • Control theory understanding
  • Object tracking algorithm experience

ADA Notations:
  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, and walk.

Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
