Job Overview:
The client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to act in the highest technical capacity as an individual contributor and lead other engineers in the development of complex computer applications and initiatives. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of available technologies and tools, including but not limited to .Net, Microservices Architecture, Kafka, Azure Cloud, and MSSQL. This is not a remote position, and the candidate is expected to work at the specified location. Sponsorship or visa transfers are not available for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Work within system development methodologies like Scrum.
• Utilize a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Analyze highly complex business requirements and write complex functional system designs to meet these requirements.
• Act as the highest-level individual contributor as a developer on projects, collaborating with technology partners, Principal Engineers, and architects to understand and implement technology solutions.
• Provide technology recommendations and support post-production activities.
• Develop new documentation for departmental procedures, training, and user guides.
• Ensure quality, security, business continuation plans, and compliance requirements are met and documented.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle using Agile, Iterative, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
• 6+ years of experience with .Net, Microservices, MSSQL, Kafka, and Nunit.

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years of technical design experience.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience creating sizing or work estimates.
• Exposure to database data modeling.
• Experience using source control tools like GitHub.
• Applications knowledge within financial services or payment systems, including Home Equity Lines and Loans, Personal Loans, Credit Cards, Retail Loans, Business Loans, Automobile, and Educational Loans.
• An industry-standard technology certification in Java.
• Experience with modern technology stacks, including Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, Microservices, Kafka, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, AppDynamics, Selenium, Cloud Technologies (PCF/Azure), Oracle, and MongoDB.

Pay Range: $75-80/hr
