Job Details

The SAP Commerce Front-End Developer (FED) is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting high-quality front-end solutions for SAP Commerce Cloud-based e-commerce platforms. The role focuses on storefront development, ensuring responsive, performant, and scalable user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

The FED works closely with Technical Leads, Architects, Designers, and Agile teams to implement functional and non-functional requirements using SAP Commerce storefront accelerators and modern front-end technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain SAP Commerce Cloud storefronts using accelerators (JSP and/or Spartacus).

  • Translate functional and technical specifications into high-quality, maintainable front-end code.

  • Implement responsive UI designs using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST/API integrations.

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and enhance existing and new SAP Commerce front-end code.

  • Ensure code adheres to Capgemini and industry best practices for performance, scalability, and maintainability.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, daily scrums, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

  • Accurately track and record task effort in project management and timekeeping systems.


Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud storefront accelerators (JSP, Spartacus).

  • Strong experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.

  • Ability to understand technical documentation and deliver working solutions.

  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting SAP Commerce storefront issues.
