Position Overview
Innosoft Corporation is seeking a seasoned Cloud Architect to support the strategic design, implementation, and governance of multi-cloud environments as part of the CDC?s Cloud Architecture and Optimization Services (CAOS) initiative. This role requires a leader who can evaluate, design, and optimize technical solutions aligned to enterprise cloud transformation goals, while advising and supporting agency adoption of modern DevSecOps and cloud-native practices.
Key Responsibilities
The Cloud Architect will lead technical solutioning and implementation activities across multiple optional task areas in support of CDC?s cloud modernization mission:
Cloud Strategy & Architecture
- Architect hybrid and cloud-native solutions using Azure and AWS, with potential expansion to Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud.
- Design and refine high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) architectures.
- Guide the selection and adoption of CSP platform services, automation tools, and service delivery frameworks.
Innovation, Piloting, and MVP Support
- Lead evaluation and piloting of new cloud technologies through proof-of-concept (PoC) and MVP development.
- Provide consultative guidance for cloud-native application development and refactoring.
Cloud Enablement & DevSecOps
- Support enterprise adoption of DevSecOps pipelines and standardized development automation practices.
- Design technical frameworks for cloud onboarding, automation, and observability solutions.
- Enable self-service consumption of cloud services by CDC mission owners.
Security and Compliance
- Integrate Zero Trust Architecture principles into cloud security strategies.
- Support alignment with NIST RMF and CDC-specific ATO processes, including Rolling ATOs and continuous monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in cloud strategy, cloud engineering, or DevSecOps-related delivery programs.
- Federal Experience: Demonstrated leadership on innovative cloud programs for federal agencies.
- Technical Depth: Expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing solutions in AWS and Azure environments.
- Strategy & Execution: Experience in strategic evaluation of cloud solutions and lifecycle support from pilot to full production.
- Education: Bachelor?s degree required; four (4) additional years of relevant work experience may substitute for degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent.
- Experience with multi-cloud governance, CSP onboarding frameworks, and agile delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
Work Location
- Primarily remote with potential travel to CDC?s Chamblee Campus in Atlanta, GA, or other approved locations as required.

- IaC & config mgmt: Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, ARM templates, Ansible, Packer
- Security & compliance: Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud/Azure Security Center, Microsoft Sentinel, AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, KMS/Key Vault, CIS Benchmarks, STIGs, Continuous Monitoring
- Architecture patterns: HA/DR, Multi-region, Active-Active, Active-Passive, Blue-Green/Canary
- Governance & cost: AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations, Azure Landing Zones (CAF), Azure Policy, Tagging Strategy, FinOps/Cost Management
- Observability: Azure Monitor/Log Analytics/Application Insights, Amazon CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Elastic, Splunk, Datadog
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CKA/CKAD (nice-to-have)
- CISSP or Security+ (nice-to-have for ATO/RMF work)
