Job Details

Position: Warehouse & Supply Chain Specialist Location: Long Island, NY - (Onsite from Day 1) Duration: 6 Months - (Contract to Hire)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse and Supply Chain Specialist to oversee end-to-end warehouse operations, inventory management, procurement coordination, and logistics within a pharmaceutical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharma warehouse management systems (WMS), regulatory compliance, and supply chain optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, and GDP guidelines for pharmaceutical handling and storage.
Coordinate procurement, supplier management, and purchase order tracking.
Optimize supply chain processes to minimize cost and improve delivery timelines.
Manage cold chain logistics, batch tracking, and product traceability.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
Collaborate with QA, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Lead and train warehouse staff to maintain safety and efficiency standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in warehouse management or supply chain within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
Strong knowledge of WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
Experience with batch/lot management and controlled substance handling.
Understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GMP, GDP).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cold chain and temperature-controlled logistics.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma practices.
Certification in Supply Chain (APICS CSCP/CPIM or equivalent).
