Job Details

Job Title: Workday Reporting Analyst / Workday Payroll & IT Functional Consultant
Location: New York (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Workday functional teams to design, execute, and refine audit and compliance reports ensuring data accuracy during and after go-live.
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and business leadership to gather reporting and functional requirements.
  • Develop, customize, and optimize Workday reports, including advanced, matrix, composite, and dashboard reports, for real-time data visibility.
  • Support Payroll functional operations, ensuring alignment between configuration, integrations, and reporting needs.
  • Assist in validating payroll data, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with unionized workforce policies.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and functional support for go-live activities, troubleshooting, and post go-live stabilization.
  • Coordinate across technical and business teams to support continuous process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all reporting and data management adhere to data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to business operations by aligning Workday solutions with organizational objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with IT to support integrations and downstream system reporting as part of broader HR technology initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of overall experience, including at least 3+ years in Workday Reporting and Workday Payroll functional consulting.
  • Proven expertise in Workday Report Writer, Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Dashboard reporting.
  • Hands-on experience building custom reports, calculated fields, and discovery boards in Workday.
  • Strong understanding of Workday Payroll, HCM, Time Tracking, and Compensation modules.
  • Experience supporting Workday HR/Payroll implementations or major system upgrades (preferably in a unionized or healthcare environment).
  • Knowledge of HR, Payroll, and Compliance reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate between IT, HR, and business units to ensure alignment of system functionality and business goals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
