Description

NexGen Data Systems is seeking a Network Security Analyst. This position will define network security requirements for local and wide area networks, provide evaluation of approved network security product capabilities, configuring standard communications protocols, detecting, and analyzing network vulnerabilities, and developing proper computer system security solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Defines network security requirements for local and wide area networks, evaluation of approved network security product capabilities, configuring standard communications protocols, detecting, and analyzing network vulnerabilities, and developing proper computer system security solutions.
  • Analyzes and determines security requirements for local and wide area networks.
  • Designs, develops, engineers, and implements solutions that meet network security requirements.
  • Responsible for integration and implementation of the network security solution.
  • Performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development lifecycle.

Desired/Required Skills:

  • Must possess IT-I Critical Sensitive security clearance or Tier 5 (T5) or higher.
  • Must meet 8140 Department of Defense compliance requirements (Security and OS certifications)
  • Five (5) years relevant experience.
  • Experience in defining network security requirements for local and wide area networks.
  • Hands on experience evaluating approved network security product capabilities.
  • 5 years experience configuring standard communications protocols
  • Experience with access control panels, analyzing network traffic, routing and switching (Cisco/Palo Alto/Juniper).
  • Experience with OSI, ACL, TCP/IP, and Spanning Tree.
