Senior Vice President, Application Development Manager

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Application Development Manager to join our team. This role is a great opportunity to lead a team while driving cutting-edge AI solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Lead and manage a team responsible for delivery of technology solutions within the AI HUB
  • Provide thought leadership and support for Data Science team with issues and questions (e.g., through office hours)
  • Ensure application of tech development best practices
  • Oversee and drive on-time completion of analysis, design, development, testing, and release of critical applications
  • Guide production issues support and root cause analysis to remove blockers
  • Escalate incidents or concerns to the Engineering Lead for resolution as needed
  • Partner with business and subject matter experts to define requirements and deliver strategic data solutions that address organizational needs
  • Execute the full software development lifecycle (design, code, test, deploy, and maintain), applying security, privacy, and quality assurance best practices
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve efficient and scalable solutions.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems analysis and program development with related supervisory, management and administrative experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Preference for tech company, fintech or start-up environments.
  • Technical expertise in modern development environment: Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript (Angular).
  • Extensive software and tech asset development experience

  • Critical thinking mindset & behaviors
  • Drive execution and learning; pushes the team to do the same
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor Data Science team
